Our Origins
The original business "Wright's Shellfish" was founded by Frank Wright in Southport in 1945, supplying quality seafood (cockles, mussels and prawns) to the local community.
As the business prospered, the company moved to Wolverhampton Airport to reach a larger conurbation. 1976 saw the move to Stafford Court, Wolverhampton, where a fully equipped factory was established. Run by brothers Alan and Graham Wright, it remains a family business and this is Freshway's home today.
Over the decades, Freshway has proved that
it can adapt to changing customer needs. It has responded
to opportunities by moving away from its original seafood
products into the world of sandwiches and sandwich fillings,
not to mention a whole assortment of other products.
We are proud that our caring family approach
remains an inherent part of our corporate culture. |
